Ama pray for maritime safety and a large catch for the year by offering salt and other items to “Senmaiseki' (Rice Wash Stone) placed by the fishing port. This stone also is called “haijyouana' (cup mark), and it became a subject to worship in various places. A star figure was engraved in the stone at Katako.
